Let's start by building longevity in your career as a content creator!
If you're still here...firstly thank you for taking the time to read my previous email! As mentioned, I built the Anything But Regular Creator Academy to help support new and existing content creators in an ever evolving industry.
I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few tips that will help you over the next few months. One thing I recognised as an Influencer and Creator Marketer was that many creators relied heavily on one revenue stream for income...brand deals!
To be honest I don't blame you, they are one of the most lucrative ways of generating income as a content creator but as I'm sure many of you have experienced, it's not sustainable. The industry changes consistently and over the last year we've seen a huge shift in how brands are working with creators.
So what can you do to ensure you hit your minimum monthly revenue targets and stop relying on brand partnerships?
- Focus on your community: In 2025 people care less about the aesthetics and want to see the raw unfiltered version of you. There is endless value in building a community, so ensuring you focus on them and human-human connections will bring you the longevity you need to survive in this career.
- Start using affiliate links: If you're not already doing this you're missing out on an additional revenue stream but also...data! Brands are moving towards working with creators that can prove they are connected with their audience and bring in sales alongside creating high-quality content.
- Recognise you have competition: There are now millions of content creators out there, what makes you stand out from the rest? What's unique about what you share? What value can you offer your community that others can't? Focus on becoming a leader in your niche and the £$€ will follow!
- Stay educated: If like me, you've been in this industry since the begining you'll have learnt along the way (but may be stuck in your ways!). There are now endless amounts of free education for you to learn from and consistently stay on top of your game. I'll link my YouTube channel below to get you started.
